I am in need of a front timing cover for my bro's 1998 GEMS P38 4.6, and I just happen to have one sitting around for a Bosch 4.6. From what I can tell, they are different, but they look so similar. Anyone know what the real difference is?

My guess would be that they have different cam position sensors. Maybe they mount the sensor differently.

that was kinds my thoughts too, but all I have to go off of is pictures right now and they look the same.
they have different part numbers for bosch vs. gems, but they do look identical.
Gems is $150 more for a new one, if it works maybe you've found a money saver for the rest of us....
