My tire pressure light come on and off all the time. I am running larger than stock tires, but the pressure is correct. What could be causing this? A bad sensor?

Is there any was to disable the system without the light being permanently on?

The batteries in those tire sensors don't last forever, I can see how the original ones may be due for replacement in a 2008. It is possible to disable TPMS entirely, via a diagnostic system like IIDTool or others.

Sounds like you need a module. It comes off and on while your driving and I would guess it has no codes in the system if you got it scanned.

Mine is basically permanently on. In the summer, I run higher than factory pressures in E rated tires and the system throws errors because of that. My winter wheels do not have sensors, so the light is on all winter long. The only time the light is off in my truck is when my summer tires are running a little low.

I've just learned to ignore the damned thing and check my tires every once in a while.

I had this same issue on a 2008 LR3 SE. I had to replace on of the sensors. Any shop that replaces tires can scan each wheel to see which one is bad. I ordered the part and a tire shop installed it. Although they were unable to get the module to manually accept it, I drove it for a few miles and all is well (auto-calibration?)! I think the book says drive over 50mph for X amount of miles???
