I am lifting my 03 Disco with OME HD kit and looking for new tires.

Looking at the BF Goodrich all terain TKO and the Nitto Grappler since they are two of the few that come in the 18" size.

Anybody have any suggestions on these?

What about size? I figured i could go as big as the 32" Overall OD withe the 2 1/2" lift....

I am running the BFG's 265/65/18 on a stock D2, I just ordered the RTE 2" lift, it should be here on Monday  I've only had them for a week now, but I'm happy with them.

I'd love to see a picture of the BFG's on your DII if you have any...

Aren't they rubbing without the lift?

I'm running the Nitto 285/60/18 with a 2" lift. It Looks very balanced. They are great tires, last forever, great on and off road.

If I had more than a 2" lift I would go with 285/65/18s. I think both Nitto and BFG make both sizes. I can't say enough good things about these tires. Decent price,I paid around $700.

Look in the D2 gallery under michael harrington, should be a few pics there..
Hope this helps.

...guy with a lifted D2 in our club moved from the Nitto's to the BFG AT's on his 18" rims - says he is way happier with the BFG's offroad, even the Nitto's were good tires too. The BFG's and Nitto's will have longer life than than the Cepek's (which are probably also very capable for your truck) based on the rubber compound...Can't make a wrong decision with any of them really.

there's no rubbing at all, it is a little close at the front bumper but even at full turn there's still no rubbing. I'll try to post some pics later today.

I'm hoping GY will make the MTR's in an 18' wheel soon.
I may have to resort to some steel black wheels in 16"
to get a good tire.
I think the BF Goodrich would be ok too.

x2 (on both). Though at 285/65, re-gearing will be in order for me.

I've been pleasently suprised on the Nitto's performance. Very quiet on road.

Last time out at Crozet they handled the rocks very well... I had 'em down to 20 psi, and they were conforming well to the obsticals. Wouldn't want to go down any more PSI with the 285/60r18's due to the lower profile.

The Nittos also did me proud on the mud run at the campground that night with only a minor amount of me hunting around for traction (most of the MT's walked up it, and most of the AT's struggled, or were winched)....
