To idle or not to idle!!

With an 03 Discovery is there anything that could cause a problem during excessive idling? For instance when I went to get my daughter from school today I found myself waiting in the car rider line for about 20 minutes with the A/C running. I always watch the temp gauge like a hawk and would shut down if I noticed a difference. My cooling system is good having recently replaced anti-freeze and t-stat and all hoses, it is just over 70K now. I guess I'm trying to find out if there are any weaknesses with the 4.6 that may rise to the top during a prolonged idle, like maybe a hot spot in the engine that would benefit from faster moving water?

I'd say anything that goes wrong is justice for sitting and idling a car for 20 minutes instead of shutting it down. Unless you have a medical problem.

Even Diesel's? They idle with a Massively Lean Ratio and frankly are quite happy idling all day long sipping very little petroleum.

So Tom...I guess if the tire goes flat while idling it's because of the idling? Or atleast it's the "justice" for the long idle perhaps...
