Towing with an L322

Anyone towing with a Mark III Rangie? The tow hitch seems like it's tucked too far back into the truck from the bumper to run a standard length hitch. I've been using an extension but that pushes it too far back and makes a lot of noise. How are you resolving this? Is there a drop that puts the ball out of the way of the rear end but not down too low to the road?

I used that. Can't remember how long the one I used was but it put the ball just out from under the bumper. Was not too low at all.

I had an even heavier duty version of that for my mom's Range Rover when I used to tow my RRC.
