This question may have been answered already, but I could not find the answer. So, is it possible to do a Toyato axle conversion on D2 axles or can it only be done on D1 axles?

Finished the machinework on the prototype rear axles on thursday of last week (they sure are pretty!). They're off to heat treat now, The front axles are in the que for being made currently.
This first set are all about seeing what it will cost in semi production form, if it looks like the price is going to be right then it's a go for future sets.

CV's, Axles all upgraded, 4340 shafts, bolt on.. We remain 24 spline at the unit bearing end but there are a few tricks we can do with the axle design that should improver strength here.. Main reason for the conversion is to have a diff that you can't break.
up to what tire size would you say these axles should be able to handle (when the diff is locked)?
well hell. then i'll have no problems with my 33's. you'll be getting a call form me as soon as they're finished and i have the money!
I'll be ready to do this conversion by early spring. Gonna need these axles for the rubicon in late spring.
