Will just buy the Toyos and piss everyone off.

Haha that's what I was thinking after page one  ... I really do like the toyo's and haven't read anything bad about them, but if there is a big price difference (like I think there will be) I'm going with the KM2's...

Ya for the price difference go BFG. We put to much faith in these write ups. I bet if you equipped rigs with different brands and didn't let the drivers see what they wheeling they couldn't tell them apart. Guys like Bill Burke could but I doubt most on this board could. Buy the way I have Toyo ATs on my Titan and they are great tires that are wearing well after numerous trips from Oregon to Texas and back.

I put a lot of highway miles on my KM2's when I did a Canada offroad trek - Dayton Ohio > London Ontario > Minden Ontario (a few hours plus north of Toronto) and they performed fine. I was heavily loaded and didn't get faster than 75mph - but that's about my max anyway...

I run Toyo MTs (On my Toyota FJC). They are a great tire on and off road.
The only drawbacks in my opinion are they are pretty heavy
and recommended psi is much more than the KM2s. It takes
me alot longer to air up and air down.

When my BFG ATs wear out on my D90 I will probably get Toyo MTs.

Well, I've been happy with the Maxxis Bighorns, but there is newer 'technology' out now than the bighorns-which were awesome,I'd get them again, but I'm curious about Toyo and KM2. I am also considering the KM2s but have to say looking at the tread and reviews the Toyo appears to be quiet yet tough. I dont need Swamper tread, its sees a fair bit of highway. KM2 looks a bit more blocky and less 'sipes', as you know where we live wet traction matters. But I like to wheel lava and slickrock-me like rocks so I end up at 9 to 11psi and jagged

I am very impressed with the Toyo's here in OR/WA. As you know lots o mud. I have friends with tires that aren't Toyo MT and they sometimes struggle in the same mud that I can almost stop and go in without fear of getting yanked out. They are also fantastic in the snow. I have nothing but good to say about the tires except...

You can only get them at Les Schwab and they won't budge on the price. Competition is a good thing and they don't have any for the Toyo's so your basically going to pay list price unlike the BFG's where you can negotiate a little more.

I have KM's mounted right now, and as spares right now KM2's. Without driving on the KM2's the tread is definitely closer than on the KM's. You can tell the sidewall is beefier on the KM2.

I wanted to run KM's for the tread pattern and wasnt sold with what I saw online with the tread of the KM2. That being said, now that I have some KM2's mounted on wheels, I take all my thoughts/comments back. They look good, have a nice look and air up/down nicely.
