I was at trader joes yesterday and they had some cheap beer in cans. Lager I think.

Anyway, I wanted to see if anyone had tried it.

Save me the pretentious shit about how I should drink good beer. Trust me I would love to, but I am unemployed, so right now I am drinking PBR.

Also, staying at home all day with a 16 month old will make you want to drink more.

I tried it when shopping for the holidays (hate to run out of beer), went down well enough, although found it a bit watery, but with all the different beers at Trader Joe's and Heineken 12 packs of sale at 7/11, it would not be my first choice. I also picked up a couple of 6 packs of their Bohemian Lager which is much better for my taste.
Peace and quiet with a 16 month old, bliss..... I have a house full of middle school aged boys, 4 of my sons friends running around (its raining outside in LA and they have seen Tron and every other movie on release) so its an afternoon of GT5.

Trader Joe, among other stuff, sells their brand of beer called Jumping Cow - about $3.99 for six-pack of glass bottles.
After a few years of drinking it, I found out that it is made by Firestone Walker brewery in Paso Robles.

I bought their Red Oval Lager an their ale(can't remember the exact name), both were 2.99 for a six pack. I thought it was pretty good. For the price, you can't beat it!

I'm now craving some Carlsberg Elephant beer! Is there anywhere in the States where it can be found? I loved drinking that stuff on tap in Denmark:bigok:

Just got a bottle of Trader Joe's 2010 Vintage Ale from a buddy of mine. Brown bottle. Anyone try that?

Yea, it is horrible.

I had 1/3 of my glass and then poured the bottle out
