So I've been thinking of building a trailer box for my car hauler for a few months. I've got an idea of what I want, but thought I'd throw it up for you Clowns to pick apart and hopefully add ideas/suggestions.

The goal:
- 5 gallons of both Buggy fuel and diesel for the Ford
- Fluids for both
- 20 gallon water tank w/a gravity fed line to the side of the trailer for washing up etc
- Spare parts and tools
- Space for an air tight food/prep bin
- Propane Grill
- Wash basin tub
- Misc.

I'm thinking about dividing the box into at least 3 sections:
1- Fuel/fluid storage
2- H2O tank/parts/tools/food
3- Grill and wash basin.

I'll also build a cradle for a 20# propane tank in the triangle section of the trailer. The center section will have square tube of adequate size to pass my front tie down chains through. These will have to have some sort of yet to be determined angle.

So there it is boys. What do you think?

Don't put the fuel next to the grill. That wouldn't go over very well.

The box will be about 80-82 inches wide. Planning on a separate area on the passenger side for the fuel/oil. Grill and such to be located on the driver's side.

I finally made it back to the office and whipped the attached file up. These are not exact dimension or angles. I still need to measure my grill, measure the fuel/oil cans, and determine the cheapest poly tank that will hopefully fit 6"H x 18"D x ??? long. The indention in the side view allows the box to go over the front support/stop on the trailer.

Not sure of the enclosure thickness yet, but I'm thinking about building the skeleton out of 1" square tubing - maybe 1/8 wall.
