Has anyone wired a brake controller on the LR3? I have the dealer installed trailer wiring and now have a trailer with axle brakes which require a brake controller. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything specific to the LR3 or D3. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Everything is under the column, just like a Ford pickup. Get a pigtail for an F series pickup and plug her in. Mounting isn't the easiest, I installed the ones I did above your right knee on the underpanel. You need to be able to reach it when SHTF. Valley makes a decent electronic one for under $60.

I was looking at buying a Tekonsha Prodigy. Is this a good controller? Will the pig tail for the F-Series pick-up still work? Will it be intuitive which wires to tap into once I have the steering column cover off? Thanks for your help.

The Ford connector is taped to the column. The Prodigy is an excellent choice. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I grabbed the pigtail out of the glovebox of a used F150 on the lot. It had the part number on it, and we ordered more when we needed them. It's been a while, but i think the colors are standard, the directions for the brake box were all I ever needed.

Thanks! I'll look for a pigtail from an '05ish F150. I might be asking a few more questions once I get everything apart though...
