I want to install a trailer hitch receiver behind the front license plate. I will have to route through the front bumper, but then don't know how to attach the reciever to the frame. I found this picture online where someone was able to install a winch into the factory bumper. If this is possible, then I would think installing a receiver in that same location would also be possible. If anyone has any ideas on how to do this I would be very interested in hearing them. I want my truck to look as stock as possible, but want to have a trailer hitch reciever in the front to allow me to attach a recovery point, a trailer ball, or even a portable winch, etc. Please help me accomplish this. I really appreciate any advice on this.

It will have to be custom, but I'm sure a competent hitch/bumper shop could make a receiver to bolt in between the frame rails. If it's way back in the bumper, you're going to have fun in the mud putting the winch or recovery shackle in there.

If I was out in the mud, I would problaby already have the license plate removed and the D shackle in place.

I found this online and have already spoken the guy who did this with his truck. It has worked out great for him. I am going to drive out to a fab shop later today to look into doing this.

And, I am probably not going to do the strobes :) I am getting too much crap about that idea and it really wouldn't serve any purpose.
