Frankly I'm not impressed with the quality of those. Unless you feel a serious need to keep the OE socket, I'd cut if off and just get a Hoppy converter. That's what I did on both my Disco's.

I worked on a D2 that had that kit on it. Non of the lights worked. Even the shifter lock-out would cycle with lights. Was a mad house. Probably was just a shorted unit but its in the trash now.

I have one I've used in my 1999 p38. Worked fine. Land Rover parts for a Disco with the instructions. $50 and I'll pay to ship it. Mike
