Anyone know if a 2003 tranny and fit and work in a 2000 DII SE? Ive been told there are two types?

zf4hp22 "e" where "e" stands for electronic control... any d2 will go into a d2, or you can upgrade to a litlle heavier duty hp24 from a p38.. all nas models of course.

03 and 04 disco are the hp24

its 1" longer, might work with stock driveshafts on a stock height vehicle, would plan on a new driveshaft for a lifted truck.

op, yes will fit with no issues. not even an inch longer.

and NO a P38 trans will not drop in unless you swap out the rear output housing/plate.
