Trans Not changing when cold

Hi guys/gals.

Yesterday the transmission would not change gears when cold. Drove to the store about 2 miles away, and only half way there did it finally kick down to second/third etc. I tried changing manually, but no love.
94 D1 Auto
Anyway, it finally did, and then operated normally - although a little harshly.

I changed the radiator about a month ago, but have not driven it much since then. I will check the fluids now that its cold, and will report there, as I topped it off after the rad change.

Any thoughts?

All my Disco's have done this when really cold in the morning...though not quite that bad!

Yeah check the fluid level. Also, when was the last time the filter was changed?

If fluid level is normal than it probably needs new ATF. ATF can loose its properties after some time (long time)

Maybe a cloged filter in the tranny!

Maybe a sticking governor!
