As the title states, my Tcase is stuck in high. Im fairly confident that it is the solenoid. Ive done quite a bit of searching on this and have read that there is a tread out there about the removal process. Ive tried searching for that particular tread but cant seem to find it:banghead: .

I was wondering if anyone could link me to it or had the proper search term to type in the search bar?

Not to kill your "easy fix" high, but I just pulled mine apart because the solenoid was stuck...it was, but the shifter was also totally rusted in place... and this was a florida truck untill last year (no flood damage).

It took me 3 hours to free the stupid thing up! :banghead: I pulled the whole transfer case(lLt230) shifter mechanism out and had it on a bench. There is a pin that is supposed to slide back and forth in a sleeve, with a splined clamp on one end. That pin was so damn rusted, it took half a can of PB, wire wheel, and a small sledge to get it moving. Then I worked it for a good 15 minutes, rust proofed, and packed it's ass full of grease before reinstalling.

Rant complete.... have fun and may the force be with you :D
