I am having a bit of a x-fer case leak on my 94 d1. I looked at it and it appears that the leak is coming from the fwd housing joint face. Is this something that can be resealed in place? I am thinking not but for the sake of lazyness and compleat lack of motivation I have to ask. I am getting some harmonic vibration out of the front drive shaft which lead me to suspect an oil seal but that area is dry. I still suspect the driveshaft vib as the cause. Anyway thanks for the help in advance.

Short answer ... Yes.

I'm a little confused here. Is the leak at the front output, or the rear?

You're in ABQ? ed ... whoops, Clovis, not ABQ ...

I'd contact Rob Dassler at Southwest Rovers for a professional opinion. If you're not just jumping up and down with excitement to tear it apart youself, I'd let Rob do it.

No its not the output seal. The case itself is in 3 pieces there is the front main and rear. There is a gasket between the sections. The front portion is where I am having the issue. Thanks for your imput.
