Most love affairs are very expensive but Man my rovers affair is getting out of hand, gonna re-nickname her 3rd job. So obviously I need a new BG or LT230 and local is always best, so is this a fair value? looks in really good shape and possibly rebuilt at some point? Son=me bolts look new

Dont know the market, need help

That's not too bad for what you're getting, if it doesn't have many miles on it.

I am always wary of used Borg Warners. You have two major components that have limited lifespans, the VC and the chain. Why hasn't he offered up mileage info on the transfer case? Give me time with a parts washer and I can make anything look pretty good. I have a lot more confidence with used LT230's.

WTF is he quoting the price of a viscous fan at AB? To me, the seller doesn't know what parts he's selling. All he did was a quick search on AB for parts that had viscous in the title.

I wouldn't buy one unless you can drive it first. Or from a trusted seller/enthusiast.

Too many variables. The VC could be shot, output bearings loose etc. No way.

I can sell you one I know is good VC and chain wise - it needs a front output bearing (it has MINOR play) and I'm driving it currently.
$350 shipped. I would want to verify it's ok one last time before I pull it so it may be a week.... Not sure your time frame.

Doug - a quick Q: how minor is minor play? I know that on both of my Classics the front yoke can be moved just a c.h., but I don't know if it is what causes driveline vibrations.
