I recently released a product that you guys here may appreciate, True 3000K LED fanless headlight bulbs. Halogen bulbs look great on classic 4x4s and cars with their warm white beams which are superior for human night vision, but they draw too much power, produce too much heat, their lumens fade too quickly, and their life is too short. Holley offers their 7" LED lamps which are nice for vehicles that can utilize them, but are very expensive and have Holley-branded plastic lenses. LED bulbs on Amazon/eBay produce blueish or greenish light that IMHO looks out of place on a nice classic and often come with obnoxiously huge heatsinks, fans, and ridiculous/insulting lumen brightness claims.

If only there were an LED bulb that we could simply plug in and go, with all the benefits of LED technology, and none of the drawbacks. And so, after many months of work, the Trekworks True 3000K LED bulbs were born. Initially, they are available in H4 size, but more sizes are in the works. They're available now in the Trekworks store here:

I’ve been using Cyclops led bulbs. The first set lasted 9yrs. I’ve been on the second set for about 6 months. They work great in glass D1 housings. But suck in 7” round fixtures. Can’t wait to try a set of yours for those. I have an old Alfa and the kiddo has a Montero with 7’s. I would love to run Leds in those without blinding people.

That’s decent life for an electrical device that’s forced to run hot. I see those are 5600K. At least they’re not 6000k+. They’re pushing 38 watts though, at least until the thermal regulator kicks in, so I’m sure they’re bright, maybe too bright honestly. I could offer such a product but have decided not to. I want to offer bulbs that are a bit brighter than a brand new halogen so my products don’t contribute to the problems I see on the roads regularly. Anyways, I appreciate the comments.

work with a D2?

Up to 2002 which use the same H4 bulbs as earlier models. '03-04 D2s use H7 bulbs. However, I actually have a single set of prototype H7 bulbs. Maybe we can work something out. I've considered doing a pre-order on the site to explore interest in other sizes.

I LOVE this idea. I bought Auxbeam "H4/9003 LED Headlight Bulbs 44W 8000LM Q10 Series". They work well but I don't care for the blue light.

How many watts for your bulbs?

20 watts nominal, a little more or less depending on temperatures. They are designed to be a bit brighter than a new halogen bulb, without being so bright that they blind other drivers.
