Heading over to Istanbul for a few nights then a week in Romania. I've never been to either, any comments, suggestions or snied remarks welcome :ack:

I was in eastern Europe including Romania back in 1985 when still a Warsaw Pact nation under Nicolae Ceaușescu (before the revolution in 1989). My memories are rather vague, (due to consuming large amounts of locally distilled moonshine) and it being a few years ago now. so not much help except Romania has some beautiful countryside and architecture.
