Tyres for Disco 3

I'm looking for tyres that are more agressive than the 255/60R18 Wrangler HP's fitted to my Disco 3 TDV6 HSE.

I read some posts about 285/65's but these will have too great a rolling diameter and the wider 285 may rub on the front suspension when on the bump-stop.

I don't want to have to buy a set of 17's just for bush tyres as judging by the cost of everything else, they won't be cheap!)

Oh, and ARB said their bullbar will be available in January (in OZ, don't konw about other countries).

Their is also a GENERAL AT2 that has a decent looking tread pattern and also is 255/55/r18. I don't know about the quality because I have heard some bad things about their tires. But i'm guessing they'll fit

The Nitto's aren't available here. The Grabber is, but I don't really want to go to a lower profile. I suppose I either have to wait or get a set of 17's for bush work. The Wranglers aren't what I'd call an impressive tyre!

The treads are probaly taller on the Grabbers so would it really make it more of a low profile. I have seen that a 285/60/r18 suttiomo AT will fit and won't rub even on low mode. also a rumor is that even the 17's will rub the brakes but an 17' BMW X5 rim might work.

I've solved my own problem.

I've purchased a set of 17" wheels from an Australian Company - Performance Wheels.

They're 17x8 and I've fitted them with Cooper LT245/70R17 STT's.

The TDV6 HSE can be fitted with 17" wheels, but the V8 can't as the front disks are too big.

Thanks for all the advice. ;)
