Had a great time, when 9:00 rolls around I'm gonna miss the night rides. Bill I have your event shirt, I will be holding it for ransom. I will send you photo's of the shirt and my demands shortly.

I was the guy camping next to them in the White Rangie. Your Dad made this pinneapple cake in the dutch oven Saturday night, pretty good. And don't let your sis lie, she didn't drive like she was suppose too. Hope to see you all up there in April. btw, I am in J-ville if you're ever this way.

Hi!

I have to say thank you for everyone coming out and visiting with us. Always a laid back event focusing almost entirely on driving, we tried to make it even more laid back with out sacrificing some level of organization.

I think we have it down now. The registration tent will be a thing of the past. Next year, we will add paying for meals, memebership, shirts and what not right at supper. So, registration, settling debts, etc will start at 4:00 pm Saturday with supper/raffle/give away starting immediately after.

Meals will need to be purchased next year as this year about 30% of the pre-registered who also ordered meals did not show up, so we ended up spending $250.00 more for food than was necessary. Just to let you know, we purchased about $1600.00 dollars of stuff with Society funds to make up for what didn't come from vendors. We are still going to do some purchases next year and it would be nicer to spend money on off-roading stuff, not food to go into the dumpster.

Some of the stuff that often comes in registration packets will either be laid out for people to take if they want, or placed in a can for pick up like the trail maps were.

We couldn't have done it with out Steven's work this year! Shirts, design, posters, and working through the registration was incredible. Steven thank you so very much!!!

As usual it was great to see everyone and meet new friends. Despite the rain, we were able to work three stock vehicles over Dickey Bell without any damage! So the trails were fun and the little rain we recieved was gone by 1:00 pm leaving sunny skys and some happy campers.

Due to the evening's paper work, I was not able to get around to each camp site as I always do. It is the favorite part of the event for me and I promise to make it up next year.

Again every one, thank you for making it such a success!!!

Just to add what Dan just said; I also want to thank everyone that did make it out and hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did. In addition, I want to thank my co-driver Joey for spotting everyone in my moderate group as this helped me out tremendously.

Looking forward to next time already!

As Steven said, The night rides started around 9:00 p.m. I wish I could fall asleep around 9, I have become a bit of a night owl in recent years.

This was my first Rover event and first time driving at Uwharrie and I had a great time! Dan, thanks for putting on the organized rides in the morning I had a lot of fun and it was a good learning experience. I just got my Discovery 4 days before the event so it was fun getting it broken in right away. Plus I got to camp with some great guys who were patient and helpful the whole time.

Yeah, I just saw that one the CROC site. Should be. Not sure if the family will come out. They don't take to the cold well.
