Say, whats Norway doing to help make the world a safer place?

In any case, a majority of Norwegians want their soldiers to come back home. A recent poll indicated that more than half of Norwegians want the government to repatriate the 150 Norwegian soldiers, who are stationed near Basra under British command, but earlier government statements were vague about how long they would remain.

Wow, way to lead by opinion. Is that a typo... 150 Soldiers... Wow, thanks for the help!

Tell you guys what. Untill Norway does more/anything to make the world safe, shut up and let the adults handle it.

Clean up with what? 150 troops that you limp wrists want to recall. Seriously, WTF are you guys doing? I'm sure if a Tsumani wasted your gay bar of a country, you would want "The Shrub" to pull your Panty covered asses out of the mess.

Dude, just shut up and enjoy the fruits of our labor!

I love hearing from countries that have 150 troops in a war.... Mostly for Humanitaran stuff, and had Nazis living on their land untill we saved them telling us how to handle our problems/dirty laundry.

Only useful thing to come from Norway is the Paper clip!
http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20031120.html

We put people on the moon, you invented the paper clip. You think you should tell US how to do anything?

Look how you solve Military issues.
Prohibited from wearing anything with the king's initials, Norwegians took to wearing paper clips on their lapels to show national unity and opposition to the German occupation.
Hey, why not FIGHT the Germans? Just saying.....Why bother, The AMERICANS will fix it.

Seriously, there are more Americans in the building with me then troops from Norway in Iraq.

wow. chris has a lot of posts.

I'm not even going to get involved in this thread. It's too bad you're not Dutch, cause I know a great quote from Austin powers that would go great right about now.

Mmmmm . . . who created this mess?

Here's a question - If the EU and UN hadn't been corrupted by Saddam's Iraq in the late 90's/early 2000's, through 17 'Resolutions' that enabled Iraq to continue to develop WMD, give terrorist shelter, money and training leading up to the war, do you think the Iraq war could have been avoided? What would have happened if the EU and UN weren't on the take and weren't running around forging documents to cover their sorry butts? What if they had had the balls to address the Iraq issues vs. taking money in the back rooms? Is it possible that the EU and UN are in many ways responsible for the current Iraq war?

A better characterization would be that the US is cleaning up the mess Europe created, again.

Brussels in the evening must be really fun during this years Ramadan.

Geez, this is news from like two years ago. That's why the civilian contractors get paid out the ass - because they might lose it. It's standard procedure for a long supply convoy to only be guarded at front and rear. They're on their own out there, just like in the Old West. Some will return home with gold, others will be buried there filled with arrows. Big fucking deal.

I heard a story of a civilian contractor driving a rig in such a convoy that came under attack. The driver had an insurgent (Mad Max freaky guy, whatever you want to call them) open his door and start up at him with a knife. The driver grabbed his hammer he carried with him for protection and planted it right on top of the guys skull, killing him instantly. Thunk-crack-dead.

Quentin, you don't know what the fuck are you talking about.

Of course convoys are not guarded all-around. Just like James said.

I am amazed how one dumb fuck can be so freaked out because of something that happens all the time. I thought better of you before.
