Wife got a new job so it seems in a few months I might be moving to the Salt Lake area.. anyone know of any local LR clubs out there? I searched Google and came up with bupkis.

Am really looking forward to getting back out west (used to live in CO about 10 years ago and was a member of Solihull Society) where there is more room to play. I have a fairly stock '98 D1 and a modified '62 SIIa.

Thanks

I don't know of any but if you go into the Great Basin Rovers website it says something about a Rover club but it contains zip info so I don't know if one exists or not in the SLC area. You could contact the Centerville Land Rover dealership in Centerville, UT which is just N of SLC. They might have some info if one does exist. Also put out a question on the Solihull Society website. Somebody there probably knows if a Utah rover club does exist. I'm a member of a jeep club where I live in western Colorado but am the only LR in it but I enjoy running around with them. Too far from the Solihull club in Denver to do much with them on a consistent basis. Seems odd there wouldn't be an LR club in Utah as there are quite a few LR's running around Moab with Utah plates on them.

Wasatch Rovers used to be active but kind of died away in 2008 or so. Marc O. and Ben L. are two DWeb folks that participated in the club. We used to take runs to the Uintahs and Moab. Not sure if anyone does anything anymore.

Wasatch Rovers was never really a club, just a group of friends that liked to wheel together. Nobody was very into the formal club thing. The most organized thing we ever did was to rent a house for a Moab trip one Spring. Fun times.

There is a SLC club...Great Basin Land Rover club(no affiliation with GBR). Ben L. has been on a run with us. Not a huge club but getting a little more active. There is a google group page. Search Great Basin Land rover club in google groups. Last big run a few months back was around 12 rovers.

I'm in. There are some fun trails around. I've mostly been around Utah County (AF canyon, the Uintas etc.) I'm looking forward to heading out west sometime this summer.
