Vehicle gun "holster"

I had a client who had one of those.

He had a wheel fall off a mile or so from the shop.

While we were waiting for my towing company to show up, a Sheriff shows up, walks up to my client's truck and instantly has his Glock in his hand shoving it in his waistband (for his safety).

All the while, mine was safely tucked into MY waistband!

My client-once his sidearm had been returned after a heavy grilling by the LEO-asked me to move it to a more concealed place after I finished fixing the wheel that had fallen off.

Every 3rd post always includes cops of some sort.

No. Leave it holstered on your hip.

How you carry one in a vehicle depends on what you're doing.

The most important part is making sure you're carrying it. If you are removed from or lose the vehicle, you may still be able to retain the firearm.

It's fine to have another in there, but you must consider it a part of the vehicle itself.

Cheers,
