I've seen a post about an event later this year in Vermont, but I can't remember where I saw it. The Roverfest dates were good (all those years ago) and I'd like to go again. Anyone here know anything about it?
Peter's events are worth going to. It certainly goes beyond the beautiful scenery and trails as there is some damn find grub and beers all over that area.
VOLR is the Rover event in July or something, and then there's also the NE Overland Rally that's held by Peter at the same location. This is the first year of the Rover event, but 3-4th of the NE Rally.
Awesome, thanks, guys! I've "been there, done that" at Badlands and could head down there, too. Vermont has good memories of some great trails in the mountains, rather than the "artificial" stuff at Badlands.
The class IV "roads" up there are really nice. Some are pretty easy trails/right of ways and others can get pretty technical. But the really nice part is that they are mapped. I believe there is even an app for some of them. But most are downloadable via the townships.
But regardless there are hundreds of miles of them and they are a great way to travel around the state if you have the time. I've only been on a handful myself. Best to go with a small group as well.
That's the one I posted the link to earlier and it would just cost to damn much in the no overdrive LT95 110. Love to go but it's just not in the cards.
Army, looking forward to finally meeting you. We plan to be at The Wilds this year after missing it last year, but making it for the first time in 2012.
