I havent lied about anything. My question was simply, do u see any rust in THOSE pics....and, no, there is very minimal rust in THOSE pics...., and as for the spare tire well, all the surface rust has been sanded down, just never got around to painting it this summer...
Anyone who's emailed me about the truck knows what their getting, since I've made sure to tell them everything they ask...

BTT...

You know you're on the computer WAAAAY too much, when you start having complete conversations IN my post....LOL

LOL, so if you don't take pics of the rust and post them, then rust must not exist. And obviously, if you paint the rusted-out parts black, they are no longer rust, they are black, thus no rust in the pics. It's all very clear.

I voted for the $7500 rust bucket.....before I voted against it.

Is there rust in the pics I showed...NO
Is there rust in other places...YES
Have I told the people inquiring about the truck where the rust is....YES
If you're interested in purchasing a rover, should checking for the degree of rust be the first thing you do...ABSOLUTELY!!!

Simple.....took me 4 sentences to say......

Now, are any of you guys commenting on the rover interested in buying it? Have questions about it? Or do you just like to take up space on my post....?

Please keep the posts to serious buyers with ?'s regarding the rover...
If you have any ?'s about it, such as availability for test drives/viewing, call the # provided.

Thanks,

Ben

Ummm Dude,
I hate to break it to you, but when you "grind" away rust, what do you think you are doing. Damaging the integraty of the metal, sounds like a good answer. Unless you replace that metal with new medal,

YOU HAVE F#$King RUST DAMAGE.

Oh, I do have a question. When you say it needs the sills replaced, how bad is the damage? Also, have the wheel bearings been replaced, and how about those CV's?

I think what everyone is trying to tell you is, your 15 year old truck is not worth the 7.5k you are asking for it.

Both CV's/bearings swivel balls/seals, etc.. have been replaced within the year, and I have a complete front axle, caliper to caliper that will come with the truck.

And it is definetly worth 7.5k with all the work that's been done to it, especially the new parts that I have complete receipts for.

Like I've told everyone who's contacted me about the rover, the driverside floor/sill is rusted, but the passebger side is still sound.

This truck runs beautifully, without ANY problems mechanically, since almost all the engine parts have been replaced. Cosmetically it looks VERY GOOD, both inside and out, witht he only bad area being the driver side floor/sill.

Any other ?'s feel free to ask.

Ok, enough is enough with the worthless posts in my thread.

I really dont need some 19yr old kid, who probably still lives with his parents, hijacking my thread with worthless comments.

Please keep this thread ON TOPIC. If you have something to say about my car, you can email me personally, or call my #, I'd be happy to discuss it with you, otherwise, the only posts should be about the sale.

Thanks,

Ben

Ben, I'm afraid your Rangie's about $2k worth, just like mine - maybe even less, since it is "heavily modified."
The pristinely clean, rust-free, unmolested '89, may fetch $5-6k. Hell, I bought mine four years ago for $6k - and it had all sorts of flaws and required a lot of work to bring up to shape. Mine's a SoCal truck from the day it left dealership, so it has very little rust. And it isn't worth half that now!
The amount of work you put in it is worth nothing (that is, you never recoup it). The total of aftermarket parts you have in it is less than a grand. Put it all together, and you'll get the picture.
I wanted to sell mine (in a better shape than yours, for $4500, a year and half ago), and failed. For what I can get for it now, I'd better keep it for my daughter.
