Final Note, Thanks

Hi guy and gals
Just a final note to this vib issue
I got the Rotoflex, in fact I got the whole kit for good measure. The kit is all the Nuts, Bolts, washers and the Little Bushing that pounds in the Prop? and fits snug over the Centralizing pin. Also this is same part that isn?t mentioned in the Green truth or the Rave CD anywhere, so removal and replacement is guesswork. I have since found out that the part was introduced to the truck some years after the manual was printed. However I worked it out in the end with the help of the neighbor a saw all a short bit a hammer and a chisel.
I must admit I was very skeptical at first. When I removed the old one I could see any damage to it, no cracks cut or anything. But the rubber was decidedly softer than the new one and the bushing hole was worn much larger than the pin.
I put it all together later at night so I never test drove the truck. Next morning I took the truck for a 50-mile highway trip (Errands to run)
JEZ LUEEEZZ what a change in drive feel that piece of rubber makes. I had to stop and check the VIN #, I could have sworn this wasn?t my truck and someone had changed it overnight. All my stupid vibration problems had gone, all of them. The gearshift, the front end on slow down, the gear shifting is smoother no jerk, the drivers door mirror I can now see things behind me, no vib?, and the shit in the glove box is silent now too. And all the plastic interior trim work has shut up creaking.
Its now a real pleasure to drive and relaxing too, I used to hang on to the thing for dear life.
In all the years I?ve owned LR?s I have never had one of these go out on me. I?m amazed at the change and drive it makes it feel like a new truck.
A thanks goes out to all.

who needs mechanics?

When your at 34,000 feet, 540 knots in a plane with 485,000 pounds of weight and 236 passengers lives in the mechanics hands, oops who needs a mechanic. Can you will maintain and repair it? Can we trust your repairs? "Jiffy Lube"? Upstairs mechanic were your second chance is with angles.
