When I try to look the vin up I get the message that the vin is not correct.
2004 D2 us 4.6
Any suggestions?

NHTSA says 9th digit which is 9 is incorrect. Check your registration or insurance registration.

Most times with Land Rovers the last 8 should be all you need. 4A849585.

I checked both. It has a 9

I would buy a used block from an earlier year vehicle anyway. There was problems with '03 and '04 blocks.
