Vinyl Dash cleaner

I just got a replacement dash for my D1 (couldn't stand the curling) and it's in great shape but a little discoloured and dirty. Is there a good cleaner out there?

Cleaning vinyl

While it may not clean, per se, WD-40 does a great job of preserving vinyl. Never use any of that armor-all crap or any silly-cone product. Vinyl is essentially petroleum with its molecules rearranged and moved around a bit. Why not use another petroleum product? I only use WD-40 for two uses now days (at least since they changed the propellant formulation and made it useless as potato cannon fuel....): drying out electrics and cleaning vinyl. There are far better products for lubrication and whatnot.

Cheers

to clean the dash use hot water with a small amount of soap, a tallow based soap is good, like what you would use for leather... and elbow grease, then just a damp cloth to wipe down

it does a good job at cleaning and conditioning at the same time, but it defiently a better conditioner
