ZMayo85 said:Tech has had one that one major shooting and then some dumb ass beheaded some chick last year. other than those two incidents tech has one of the safest campuses in the country.

Thats like saying my car didn't have dents untill some one hit it.
galen216 said:FWIW PSU has awesome outdoors, Navy ROTC and Aerospace Engineering, but it is a little late now and Tech is a great school anyway.
Enjoy your time there and whatever you do, don't go over to Radford and hang out with enonz.

I got accepted to PSU, but didn't even visit it after my visit to VT. A few years later when I traveled there, I realized they were nearly identical in "atmosphere."
Chris-St Louis said:Malls, I never go into a mall without a weapon, even if it's "Gun Free".
varova87 said:let's say your carrying in a place where it is prohibited, like a campus, mall, or place where alcohol is served, and you end up in a situation where you are forced to use it. you do so in a manner where it is, in fact, legal and legitimate, except for the locational ban on guns.
what's the penalty there? will the judge pardon you based on "circumstantial" evidence? I've always wondered about this...
When I was looking for schools (late 80s) Penn State was great, and VT was unknown. My senior year (92-93) the Hokies went 2-8-1. I hated Beamer.galen216 said:But with a better football team.
galen216 said:Although I will root for Tech LONG before UVA. They just suck.
