Can any of you recommed a good VW tech forum, like DiscoWeb? I'm having a major problem with a 2000 Passat GLX 4Motion. I noticed an interior water leak making a small puddle in passenger front footwell and I can't tell where it's coming from. I'm guessing the windshield into the dash, because a sensor or something seems to have gotten wet as well. After I drove it for about 5 minutes, I got an airbag warning. I stopped and restarted the engine, hoping the warning would clear. It did, but I couldn't shift out of park, as though the brake switch were out. After running the engine with heater on it dried out enough to shift out off park and get it back home, but the electronic transmission seemed to be stuck in a higher gear (no power until speed gain).

I'm going to do some searching on web, but thought maybe someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. At least the Disco is finally running again (knock on wood!).

Thanx, Alan. I've posted to VWvortex.com and PassatWorld.com. Doing some searching on those two, it looks just like a problem I had with my Disco... sunroof drains getting plugged and leaking into car, shorting out electrical stuff. Hopefully people on those two forums will be able to help me out with diagrams and whatnot, just like DWebbers have!

Kristina - have you tried www.thesamba.com ?? Its geared for Vdubs for all ages. Don't be put off by the amount of vintage dubs etc. There are many Dubbheads out there who will help you or atleast point you in the right direction..

Thanx for all the help! I've found what I needed... it was the pollen filter causing the leak, and it filled up the (supposedly) waterproof box that contains the transmission control module. All dried and and working again (knock on wood).
