I think most people use 2 small Honda generators with a t cable. I've been told some diesel generators are even quieter. I plan to do a little boon docking but some time in parks. I want my kid in school before I do anything. I want all my money and no extra or new debt. It's strange to be at a place in my life that educating children is the only responsibility I have left.

I plan on getting the fuck away from any frozen precipitation in 7 years. Thats when my youngest will go to college or jail. I'm not doing the snow bird thing. I'm just moving south. The lower the latitude the better the attitude.

I've been eye balling a nice little place down by the river in Grottoes.

I bought the rest of it. But after all that rain last week, I've got additional waterfront. The Poon LaGoon is currently closed.

Thing is I like it here in the summer and I own my place outright. Geneva Lake in Wi is about 7 miles from my house. I'm afraid to tell you how good the fishing is on that lake cause then everyone would be on it. Northern pike that would hit any piece of trash you get a treble hook to stay on.

I have wanted to do this for a while. Sold the truck camper and will replace. Do not like the idea of 5th wheel since you lose the bed as storage and a good hitch makes sway a non issue.

Second to build quality and IMO just as important is layout. Then comes space.

You can get the dealer down 40 percent pretty easy. The only benefit is warranty. The tech has been moving quickly. You want 2010 or newer IMO. I'll post a couple of my fave later. Read rv.net forums.

I do remember for lightweight and about 30 ft a fun funder x is a good choice. Saw an '11 this spring perfect shape $11k and good additions. Rear bath with exterior door also great thing.

Get kitchen in middle.

I'm looking at Nu Wa Hitchhikers now. That might change. I like Excel too. I wan't a real 4 season trailer. I want Dexter axles and chassis. And I want it to weight around 12,000 lbs.so a dually with a duramax and alison automatic trans wont have any trouble pulling it.

I want a real 4 season trailer.

So you want one of these, then. Yes, it is an RV....

Seriously, That's a Park model type RV, though. Haven't really researched 4 season RV's, but if I was going to, I would start by trying to find out which RV brand is a bestseller in Alaska or call an Alaska dealer for some points.

I think also Canadian. I've spent a good part of Jan and Feb in some trailers. The only way to keep them from freezing is to run a heater. You'll have to run the heater to keep tanks from freezing underneath and your mileage may vary on pipes. You need a good 4 season setup just to allow you to do this. Even then, it can be a risk to not winterize and you'll need a serious source of electricity and gas to live full time in sub zero. Not sure what your plans are and what lowest temp might be. Keep remote thermometers in key areas.
