You can get a full new set of Terrafirma shocks and springs for around $500, really not that much and you know they haven't been romped off road already.

That's the truth. For what most people are asking for used components, it hasn't been close to worth it for me yet. A savings of $50 to get used, unknown condition, unknown mileage parts is not a deal to me. An OME setup is not much more than that if you shop around as well, although I have no issues with the TF stuff.

I am going to buy a 2" lift, one way or another. A new TF lift with shocks, $450-500. That is the baseline and the most I would consider spending.
Used, with low miles, I would consider $300-350 for the whole setup. The trouble with used is that there is no way to know the true mileage and most sellers know this and take advantage. I've seen plenty of stuff here for sale advertised with 5k miles that was obviously used for far longer than that.
