Wanted: somewhat close to Maine/NH RRC or D1

Just sold the Honda Accord project beast so i have some "fun-money" again. Looking for a cheapish D1 or RRC to play with. Seriously in the market NOW for a running, driving truck that need not be really pretty.

I would really like to have it in the next coupled days (why i mentioned Maine/NH area) so i can use it at the "winter romp" here in Maine in a couple days. If nothing pops up i will probably look for a little nicer RRC or Series truck closer to spring time. I have a few leads already.

Thanks!

Doug.

doug, i wouldn't rush into a truck just for one event. find the one you REALLY want. just drive your yota up there and ride shotgun with someone!

I just want a toy anyway - I'm not going to buy a piece of sh!t just for the event but if someone has something neat for a good price I'd take it.

I am not going to buy anything too crusty only to have it break on the trail and be a pain in the ass for everyone else I'm wheeling with. I don't want to be "that guy".

I am planning to drive the Audi down to the Romp if nothing surfaces - heated seats are nice! i have had a few offers to ride shotgun and be the "winch bitch" so that works for me if nothing else.

Too bad!
looked perfect. Had studded tires and more "newer" parts.

Wheel what you bring!

I saw also a older range rover with a plow for dirt cheap also on craigs

Tax *return*??? I have had ZERO idea what one of those is for many many many years. :(

I did however commit to buying a '66 Series 2a with only 45K or so original miles...... contingent on the brakes working and it running - has not been used in a month or so which is like years to a Rover! LOL.

I hope it works out, it's in Rockland so it's pretty close and is a nice little truck overall. Great start to a restoration project as it's all there, original and drivable. (I hope!)
