Washed my engine now crap won't work

So I go wash my engine off today and now when I start my truck the lights on the shifter stay on park and my windows won't roll down but if I just turn the key to the on position everything works fine....I even let it sit for about 3hrs and then drove it for about 30mins.....any ideas?......it's a 2002 se

Well, the windows and the shifter indicator are all controlled thru the BCU that located behind the glovebox. It gets a power feed from fuse 13 in the engine compartment fuse box. It also receives power from fuses 34 and 29 in the passenger compartment fuse box. I would attempt to check the voltage at the fuses first.

Next, because you washed down the engine compartment, it's possible that some water got into the fuse box connections... so it's entirely possible that you could have good voltage at fuse 13, but it not be getting to the BCU due to the fuse box connections.
