Washington Backcountry Discovery Route overview

Former Discowebber Kris Newsom and I teamed up on our first creative collaboration for OutdoorX4 magazine with a feature on the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route. Which, of course, I drove in my Discovery. His photos are excellent so it's worth checking out for those alone. Link to the online version is here, the article starts on page 74.

My article on the WA Backcountry Discovery Route has now been published in Overland Journal. If you subscribe, you received your copy a couple weeks ago. Now the Summer 2023 issue is available on OJ's website. Sure, there's a Toyota on the cover, but my story about a bunch of Discoveries driving the Discovery Route is the lead feature so take that, Tacoma.

Also, if you want to see behind the curtain and learn about what went into planning the trip and writing the article, I describe that in a B-side to the OJ article on my blog.
