"water sloshing noise" :(

Well I was trying to figure out why my nav unit wasn't getting radio signal today and I removed the dash (+ a/c etc) and I decided to start it up and without the dash piece, I heard the infamous "water" liquid noise. I don't hear it with the dash together. Should I start thinking about new gaskets, or could that just be something else? LOL, I am hoping something else.

Agreed. Check your coolant level. Fill it up. See if it's leaking somewhere obvious. If you can't see anything, pressure test it.

How many miles?

It might be.... by the throttle body there is pink crust under the bottom "flange" .. It looks like it is filled/ leved perfectly, so perhaps that is the leak? Would a picture help?

I had that sloshing noise a while back, looked on dweb for answers. Try parking your truck facing up hill and let it run for a bit. Let it cool off and then check your coolant level. Sounds stupid, but it worked for me and a few of my buddy's with the same problem. Seems to burp the cooling system better.

I changed my coolant over the summer. I leveled the rig in my garage and turned it on for about 2 or three minutes. Loosened the bleed screw, located on top of the upper radiator hose, enough to flow slightly for around ten seconds. Then, refill coolant reservoir to level again. You may have to do this 2 or 3 times. I assume this forces all the bubbles in the system out the bleed screw. No water sound since.

Good Luck,

thanks guys, I will try refilling the coolant/ seeing if there is air in the system. Any ideas on the throttle body heater plate leaking coolant?

Common leak area...gasket needs to be replaced...some people have had success with bypassing it altogether, but that is really only adviseable in warm areas that see no freezing temps...

I'm going on my 3rd throttle body heater gasket and it's leaking again...

The gasket is a cheap (around $25) and easy fix. I need to do mine on the G4. I replaced the one in my old DII in about 20 minutes.

If it is the throttle body heater you might as well change the head gasket while you have the hood popped. Haha

Sure.. being that you are so enthusiastic, I'll let you do it for me and just tell me when it's all finished
