Thanks to Chris Snell, DiscoWeb is now running on a new server. We should see some major improvement in speed and uptime going forward!

If anyone notices anything strange or runs into a bug somewhere, post up in here. I updated the forums software during the transition and also upgraded the database. I know that attachments still disabled and I hope to get them working again soon. I bumped up the PM limit (hope this is okay with Axel and Ho) because I think the new database can handle the work and we certainly have plenty of storage now.
For those curious, DWeb now runs alone on dual processor server with 2 GB RAM, 100 GB local SATA disk and a 100 GB SSD volume (RAID 10) to hold the database and content. The old server ran 32-bit Windows, IIS, and ancient MySQL. This new server runs on 64-bit Linux with the latest stable MySQL and PHP running under nginx/php5-fpm.

Not a bad idea. I have been on some forums where there is a 30 day limit or 100 post count and test section does not include post count.

I'd keep the classifieds section on a lower limit if there is going to be a limit at all. Every so often, someone with fewer posts has something good to sell. We wouldn't want to miss out entirely.
I think it's nice that the "old" Discoweb server had such a good run. I still thought of it as the "new" Discoweb, but I have a tendency to lose track of time.:rofl:
