I believe my fuel pump is getting weak in my 94 SWB. I barely drive my Rover, so I haven't had much trouble with it. Twice when it's gotten hot, it's vapor locked on me when I've stopped somewhere after driving an hour or so. I've only driven it about 50 miles at a time to haul my dirt bike.
Tomorrow I'm planning on going on a 125 mile (each way) trip with 3 people and 3 dirt bikes. I'll have to cross a pretty big mountain pass, and will be driving through altitude for most of the trip. Should I leave the Rover at home and take something else, or should I expect the pump to make it? When these things start to go, is it usually a slow death or a sudden loss?

P.S. -- Yes, I realize I should have replaced it prior to this weekend, but didn't get around to ordering the parts until too late to have them in time.
