So its been raining steadily here for about 4 days now and as of about the second day in the headliner of my D2 got damp around the driver's side A-Pillar and back along the top of the window frame underneath the grab handle. Does this sound like a clogged sunroof drain to you guys or a leaking windshield? I want to get this fixed ASAP to avoid any electronics/rusting issues so any advice you guys have would be great.

Thanks.

I was dealing with this over the winter, so far I have-
-taped off the sunroof, did not help but yours may be stopped drains

-resealed the top corners and top of the new windshield
-put a small bead of clear silicone around the outside of the sunroof where it meets the roof.
-sealed around the roof bars where they meet the roof

rained all night last night, no leaks so far.

I get this form the far rear sunroof in a heavy rain.. Going to clean out the drain lines this week.. I'm sure the seals if any... need replacement too..

Had a cascade of water falling from my map holder. Checked the sunroof drains, and both nipples were snapped off. I sealed the sunroof glass to the body to prevent leaking untill I have the chance to pull it all down for new drain pans.

Next storm I got wet headliner in the passenger side at the a-pillar. I pulled the windshield seal back from the body, and ran a bead of silicon calk in the gap under it, and pushed it back into place, cleaning up any excess.

No leaks now.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm going to try cleaning out the drains first. Any recommendations on who to do that properly so I get all the crap out?

The drains are just open plastic mouldings at the front of each sunroof. If someone hits the headlining in the right place, they get damaged.

I didn't have any debris in our D2 sunroofs at all, and it had sat around for a couple of years before we bought it.

We re-sealed the corner pieces from inside, but also look at the roof bar feet, there is no positive seal there.

sunroofs are for girls. i wish they made rovers without them. i think i've deactivated and sealed up every sunroof on every rover i've owned aside from my 88 RRC.

I sold my silver Disco and bought an XD for this very reason. PNW rain and LR sunroofs aren't a good mix.
