Anyone watch this show?

Basically it's a show about a group of animal rights activist that try to stop Japanese whaling ships from killing whales. They believe they can achieve this by non violent interference of the Japanese ships. They do this by throwing rope in their props, and by throwing large stink bombs and other chemicals at the ships.

A new episode showed the "Sea Shepard" sending two of their crew members aboard the ship in protest. After boarding the ship, they began to make phone calls to authorities saying that they had been kidnapped!

You come aboard my ship, and then say I kidnapped you? Give me a break! They're all just a bunch of hippies.

I don't think illegal fishing is ok by any means at all, but these people are absolute crazy.

this might be the most intelligent statement you have ever made on dweb. I 100% agree the Japenese are some sneaky bastards when it comes to their permits for taking the whales, complete political bullshit. If you are ever around whales and learn about them, you know how caring and sensitive they are. It is sad what the whalers have done as a whole worldwide over the last two centuries.

I agree with both you guys for sure. The whales need to be protected from illegal fishing activity, but the way these guys go about it is retarded and dangerous. But hey, if they want to risk their own lives....

Are there any other groups (not eco terrorist type groups) that regulate these fishing vessels?

that's the fucked up thing they can only take a small number of whales legally for fishing, the rest they take claiming they are needed for science. Which is shit, they make fucking fin soup. Total bullshit, I wish the whales would take the fuckers out and drag them down about 2500 feet and let them go,

Since the Indian Navy has just proved that they can sink a Thai fishing boat...aka the mother ship. Perhaps they should be fragged out to engage the Japenese whalers.

I was at the movies last night and saw previews of their show. You mentioned risking their own lives; in one of the scenes, one of their guys gets a gun shot in the belly.

Tell you what, some unkown vessel flying skulls and crossbones, screaming another language, steering less than 50 yards away cruising at +15 knots next to me, and throwing unknown IED's onto my ship....people are going to die :biggun: and it ain't going to be me, my vessel or my crew!

These guys are like the gays here in the bay area that are still offending innocent people about their prop 8 not passing. You would think that your would not want to piss off the people that you are trying to gain in your argument.

Man, I'm glad some others saw this show! I'm aaaaaaaaaaaall for anti-whaling, ESPECIALLY the Japanese! But this show is a joke!

A bunch of fuckin' no-account hippies! The Cpt. has no plan and seems very reticent about making any kind of decision; and the crew looks like a bunch of "Trustafarians" who got kicked out of a NOLS course. They're giving any present anti-whaling operations a bad name. Fuck I hope this show flops!
