What are you guys doing for plug wires???

I bought an accel kit a few years ago and had the correct 90 plug for the electronic ignition, but every kit I see now just has straight plugs. I just put a new set on and my rig is running like shit. I want to replace the wires but want something that fits better. Do I just need to go OEM? Let me know what people have done or how much you've paid at the dealership.

don't go OEM for sure...the stealership will charge 300 bucks for the set!!!! believe me, i got suckered into it before i got really big into mods and doing things myself. I have heard great things about magnecore!!! go with them!

How much were they? I was searching different threads and it looks like MSD may have the best wires.

I did the Accel Universal 8.8mm Race Wires and cut them myself :applause:

go with magnacore they are a perfect fit and good price.check the resource section for rover connection.

Had big problems with Magnacor on my defender... arcing like crazy (to the point where she wasn't drivable). Put new oems on and she ran perfectly.

Sent the wires into magnacor and they "didn't see anything wrong with 'em." Of course, they also never sent them back.... without a stink. They sent me a new set. Needless to say I didn't put em back on.

I got the MSD 8.5mm wires for $74.00 locally.

8.5's fit in the looms?? (Must be 'squishy' insulation on 'em....) The price is also considerably more than the Magnecors.

I have yet to find anything better than Magnecor. The lengths ore spot-on. The 7mm ones equal the diameter of the OEM wires. The 8mm ones fit, barely. 8.5mm don't....
