What parts swap between disco 1 and 2?

Got my 96 Disco 1 SD running yesterday. It sounds great, but the PO really did a number on all the cosmetics of this truck.

It's basically straight and just needs to have the maintenance items caught up on, but there's a lot of stuff I need to fix inside and out. So, what can I get from a Disco2 and what is Disco1 specific?

One of the first things is the interior. I have manual seats and I want to keep them that way. Can a disco2 seat be put on the disco1 rails? And keep the under seat storage? Do I switch the skins or can the whole seat frame be swapped?

Nearly every piece of plastic on the interior is cracked or worse. What dash and center console things can I get from a 2?

The Grill is busted in the front. I know the Headlights are specific, but what about the grill?

Also what about things like bumpers and accessories? Can the aftermarket bumpers from the 2 fit on the 1?

Thanks!

99-02 D2 Headlights will fit a 94-99 D1. The 99-02 Grill will work as well with a little tweaking, but it won't match the body line of the stock D1 bumper (D2 OEM Bumper can fit). Center Dash Bezel's are the same, Gauge Cluster Bezel is the same, Console Lids are the same, ARB from a D2 will fit a D1, and that's about all I can think of right now.

exmoor has the seat reskinning stuff and replacement foam. D2 seats don't really work in a D1 without butchering

most of the dash plastic is interchangeable. The grill is different. rear bumpers don't interchange. Front bumpers kind of interchange, but don't look right most of the time.

Center console lid. Headlights. I don't see value in much more considering potential work involved.

I'm not trying to update or anything. I just see about ten 500 dollar D2's to every one 500 dollar D1.

If I'm buying a parts truck to get a new interior and exterior trim, it helps to fish in a bigger pond.

If you need a lot of parts, I'd recommend calling willtillery or Marty the drillbit. I'm sure they'd give you some sort of deal if you're buying a lot of parts.

The whole dash and all related parts will fit. With a little dash trimming under the airbag you can use the original one from your Disco. Your climate controls will bolt right up. You will need to use your gauge cluster and pod switches, but the new cover will work. As I recall the black trim pieces at the bottom of the doors also works. The sun visors are interchangeable. You can wire in the mirror lights if you want. I haven't tried anything else yet.

The door seals will interchange. (not sure about the rear door though)

All door seals will fit a D1 from a D2 even the rear door. After installing them you may need to adjust your door striker to some of the doors as the new seals will make a tight seal. I love the fact that it eliminates wind noise if that was a problem before due to the worn out door seals.
