I am waiting for some young pup to say a 2000 something or other. How much you want to bet?
my first car was a 1995 chevy blazer, and i'm definitely a "young pup" compared to this crowd (early twenties). dad bought it new and when i turned sixteen bought himself a new pickup.

at least i didn't have to buy it. i loved that car, actually. it had leather, a cd player, tinted windows, and plenty of cargo room.:D

A '62 Olds "Jetfire"....little did I know that I'd be sitting behind essentially the same engine block four decades later.

1963 Chevy II Station Wagon, straight 6 and a powerslide transmission. My dad had let me use his 68 Malibu for almost a year, it was kind of a let down after driving that around but it was a very reliable car. I see one now I get all nostalgic.

'68 Mustang Fastback 390. First car I bought with my own money. Very first one I was allowed to drive on a reg. basis was my mom's '71 Mach 1. After I joined the Navy, I got into British cars and bought my first MG, then Disco I. Haven't gone back to American since.

1976 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. Stationwagon in light yellow and brown wood paneling. Had 8-track player and seating for nine people. The back seat was rear-facing.

It had an Olds 455ci engine. The thing was a Monster. Gosh, I loved that car.

16 years old and I got to drive the family's 1986 Ford F150 with 140k on the odometer. It had a sweet camper on the back with even a deat that faced the rear of the vehicle within the shell. Dad had what looked to be red/orange shag carpet on the floor with a plywood base on it.

I was told that if I wanted to drive it, I had to not only drive my parents to work (they're teachers and worked at the same private school), but I had to drop my sister off at her school as well.

That was one pimp @ss truck :D

My first car was a 1965 6cyl Mustang Coupe, it was a POS, but I bought it when I was 15 and worked on it, traded it and my dirtbike for a nicer 1966 289 coupe (for the money I couldn't get there in a restoration). I worked on and drove the 66 all through high school and now I have the disco and now have another Mustang, 65 GT K-code Fastback.

mine was a 1981 Rover 3500 SD1 with a stick. My dad gave me the choice between that and building my own series rig. I was young so i chose the V8.

79 mustang ghia- I drove that thing everywhere, I didn't care it was about to fall apart. I drove it on parts of Route 66, and Christmas Tree Pass out towards Laughlin it was great and scary all at the same time. It broke down more times than I would like to remember but it was still somehow an awsome first car.

LOL! Actually, the wagon they had on that show was I think a 1970. We had one of those before my parents bought the '76.

The beginning credits of that show are a basic snapshot of me driving my friends around during high school!

At times I miss it, the rest of the time my bank account thanks me for selling it. Mid 90s Land Rovers are much cheaper to own than old Jeeps.
