242 this year roughly 50 less than last year.
Gas prices might be the culprit.
Well let me get back to the mary janes and the bit-o-honeys left over.

First two years here, we had two and then three trick-or-treaters respectively. This year, we really broke our records, almost quadrupling what we've had before.... we had ELEVEN this year.

lol......

This neighborhood is mostly retirees, not a lot of kids.

Most other neighborhoods around get a lot more. The neighborhood I grew up in, gets ~110, ~125 on average.... sometimes down to ~80, sometimes up nearer ~150....

A friend of mine at work, his neighborhood gets ~250 on average. The street on which my in-laws live is one of the 'nicer' neighborhoods, a LOT of people from outside the neighborhood show up to trick-or-treat in it, they get ~400 or more...

We just got a new section 8 family next door and on the way back from Walgreens to get candy in the Series, the kids came out and we pulled over and game then candy from the truck. Which was actually kinda fun and the kids wouldn't have come up to the house cause they are afraid of the dogs. So I had about 12 kids.

Yes, they all came outta the same house.

It's now 9pm and I've had 6 total kids in two groups. Last year I was out of candy by 8:30. I'll be giving candy out at work for months!

We live at the top of a 850 foot hill at the end of a cul de sac, so we don't get many people strolling by the house.

Several thousand. I swear they bring them in by the busload! The street on block down from mine gets closed to traffic, so the homes there go all out. I remember one of the guys that lives on that street handed out candy to over 5,000 kids last year. It's crazy here....

In years past we've had maybe a 100 or so. This year maybe 10. Not sure what was going on. My kids went out about 8:30 and came back about 20 minutes later saying most houses were dark, and of the ones with lights only 1/2 or do came to the door.

Had about 20 at my house. We live in a large-lot subdivision; the houses are too far apart for successful trick-ot-treating. Most of the kids go around the corner to a more traditional subdivision where the houses are closer together. More loot for less effort.

They're all greedy bastards. do this do that, i wanna hit those damn kids with a wiffle ball bat.

New generations suck.

What are you, 80?

haha jk..

Yeah, most of the little kids around here are skateboard punks. Always thinking they own the streets and don't move out of the way. gay little runts.

I think we had about 30-40 kids. give or take.

0...last year we had about 10. We gave all our candy to some family friends kids who came over to go through the neighborhood. I figure since i'm on a cul-de-sac with only 2 other year round homes maybe they figure it's not even worth walking down here so they stick to the main road.

I have a glass front door. You can see from the front door into the kitchen pretty clearly. Last night I was sitting at the kitchen table mounting a new scope to my hunting rifle. We only had 1 treater.
