So I found these wheels from American Racing and it says that they will fit the DII's :

They are 17" x 8" with a 35mm BS (not too sure how well that will work but Discount Tire said they will order one in to test fit my only worry is the lug nut size)

With these tires:

34" x 10.5" x 17" Interco LTB (yes I know it's a bias ply buy thats ok with me I have ran BP b4 and don't mind them)

What do you think???

In the future there is a guy that does custom beadlock conversions on what ever wheels you bring him... That is just a thought right now but IDK...

Really nice wheel, that would be a great set up except 17'' wheel, less tire, ect.. , but those wheels look a little to fancy to be thrashing around, but with a beadlock on them you might have something.

Those wheels are too nice/expensive for off road use and like many aftermarket wheels could well loose the bead very easily.

Stick with LR wheels for off road use.

What is the largest size off road extreme tire that can be used on a DII with 16" stock rims and no lift kit. Can you recommend a relatively low cost brand.

Not sure how much these wheels are, but if I were you (which I'm not, but...etc...), I'd purchase a 200$ recentered H1 double beadlock in 16.5 x 8.25 DOT approved (not 100% official, but you can get away with them) wheel and put the same tire on (in 16.5 flavor)...this way, with a run flat insert into the wheel, and the ability to deflate as much as you want, your traction can increase, and if you do get a puncture somewhere, you can drive out of the hairy position and change the tire in a more comfortable position.

If the wheels you posted are anywhere near 150$, that'll be my choice.

I seen 265/75/16 ( 32.4 ) on a friends 03 with no lift. No problem on road.. very minimal rub on full articulation ( with sways attached ), however they did rub on OEM bumper, so a nice trim job took care of it.

17in is only 1in larger than stock so I honestly think that .5in of sidewall flex won't change much... And yes looking at the addition of the beadlock is becoming more atractive to me...

Getting the wheels through a budy of mine who works at Discount they are 112.00 each and to add the beadlock from the guy I know is 60.00 each not too spendy...

I do agree but am weighing the options... I got a quote for a set of 5 recentered H1 wheels with the rockrings for 240.00 each then either shipping (about 35.00 each) or gas to drive to then from Kansas...

The difference in weight is astronomical though from what I have read the AR wheels with beadlocks and tires each weigh about 45lbs and the H1 wheels with rockrings and the same tires are aprox 86lbs...

I do like the thought of the runflat though...

So basically what I am looking at price difference is:

AR Wheels w/Beadlock= 860.00

H1 Wheels w/Rockrings= 1375.00

Difference= 515.00

Thats kinda what I have to weigh...
