the reason i ask is because i am not sure if mine is working.....i dont seem to ever notice it like i do on other vehicles

They both should activate anytime the AC is switched on and I believe they should come on when the coolant temperature reaches a certain level. I had one fan not functioning for some time and didn't notice it until I visually checked when the AC was switched on. I was able to find one used on the internet for twenty bucks and have been happy with the repair.

Trip point for fans coming on with A/C off is 100C. They will also come on after engine shutdown and stay on for 10 minutes if fuel temp is above 70C or coolant temp is above 110C.
i thought they where supposed to come on at a certain temp..even after the engine is off if the coolant was to hot. thanks jec. i will have to check this weekend to make sure.
