Where are the "continuity tests" described?

Keep seeing them on the Diagnostic code descriptions for earlier discos.

E.g.

Code 14 - Coolant sensor
Usually indicates a bad fuel injection coolant sensor. May also indicate a bad engine thermostat or a stuck viscous fan clutch. Refer to test 14, continuity test procedure.

Thanks very much,

Dean

Dean, that means you need to measure the resistance of the sensor at the ECU connector - to make sure both the sensor and the wiring to the sensor are okay. Haynes manuals for RRC and D1 (3.9) describe this procedure in great detail.

All of them are pin out tests and not component tests ? Thats nice if you have the pin out assignments but if not you are fucked..

Haynes manual? Ok I'll have a second check. Kyle - so they are generic, I still need to know the test procedures, resistance and/or electrical properties of these things. I have a whole load of things on the D1 that could be bad and I dont want to replace them all at $150 a go each.

Meaning , it should be simple enough to find the parameters on the net for anything close and go from that.
