Where can I find a DIY garage?

I own the 95D1 for about 2 years and love it. So far I've been doing everything on the truck myself and hope the same for the future. Living in Queens of New York City, however, I don't have a garage and find it increasingly difficult to work on the truck on the roadside or in parking lot.

Anyone knows if there is a DIY garage people can rent for a day and work on their cars? When I was a graduate student at RPI (upstate new york), we used to have a student run auto club garage. I wish there is something similar around.

Anyway, I have been a frequent visitor of this website and learned tons from your guys. You guys are the BEST!!!

Have a great Easter holiday.

Any military base. They call it the "hobby shop". Just take someone with some form of gov't ID.... ie.. DOD, DOD contractor, ect.. They have lifts and all the tools youll need to rent. Last time I went it cost me $6/hr to rent the lift.

I've gone to Camp Pendleton's DIY shop and they ask for registration and ID to show that you're working on your own vehicle ... I think they do it to keep guys from setting up a repair business w/o having to actually own/lease a repair shop with a lift and tools ...

But for those with access, the base DIY shops with lifts are great ...
