Well I've taken the plunge and bought a NAS D110. It's pretty unmolested. No mods I can find. It is missing the factory roof rack. Any idea where I can find one?

Ask over in the wanted section on D-90.com. Someone usually has one sitting around. Its the same basket as the one for the NAS D90s but you will need the 110 rear ladder, which is different.

Can you not still order them from the dealer? I know it would be pricey, but at least plausible...

I highly doubt that LRNA has one in stock. Safety Defices made the cage and rack, not LR. They went bankrupt and are just coming out of it...IE no more 110 cages planned for production anytime soon.

yeah, i dont think LRNA has them anymore. I saw one go on ebay like a month ago for 2 grand, so after seeing that Im gonna have to assume they are extremly hard to find and in high demand...it had like 40 odd bids...

Heres a scarily expensive way to get a roof rack. Probably cheaper having something made up locally by a good shop.

They are not available anymore through dealers. Any new ones still out there are hiding in peoples corners or something. yes, used kits are fetching mega bucks, even beat up ones. Like the fiberglass tops, if you want one, your going to pay some bills for one.

The difference between a rack for the 110 and one made for the D90 are the front mounts. IIRC, on a 110, the mounts are on the 1st and 3rd bars whilst the 90's are 1st and 2nd.

The rack on the left is a new rack, my D90 rack is on the right. Pay particularly close attention to the cage mounts. When it was installed on the 110 it was made for, the holes lined up perfectly. Although, if it were my 110, I'd want the mounts on the correct side of the joints.

lol, no... I bought my SD rack from a local guy. His wife had a confrontation with a Target parking lot. Luckily, the basket was not damaged, but the rear ladders were another story. Then again, it was only $90 bucks to fix, $240 for mounts. In total, I spent about $1100 for my setup.

The new rack is from Urban Offroad. He borrowed my rack to measure the mount points and improved on it as you can tell from the welds. No crimped ends, which in my opinion makes it stronger.

If you have a need for a full D90 rack or 110 basket, give Derek a call... 818-378-7490, tell him Javier sent you. He has a ladder he designed and the basket you see in the pic.

Urban Offroad is now shipping D90 full rack/ladders and a basket for 110s. That's in addition to their LR3 rack. He still has a few ready to ship.

If anything, you might have to wait a week or so for the next batch run, they're selling so fast. He was telling me he just shipped three (or was it five) racks to a company who was going to resell them for more, I presume.

It mounts to factory points, lines up perfectly. Unless you really know the nuances of the SD rack, you could be forgiven for thinking its OEM. A few key points that distinguish this from OEM aside from minor design differences:

You can order with options

1. built-in gerry can holder (my idea)
2. Welded in HiLift jack mount (I paid $100 for a bolt on unit for my SD)
3. As many light tabs as you want, at a very reasonable price each
4. Spare tire holder
5. Stainless steel mounting hardware

Here are pics of Abdul's truck, hope it's OK to post, Abdul.
